Due to the ongoing effects of Tropical Storm Crising, the City Government of Canlaon thru the directive of Mayor Batchuk Cardenas has coordinated with the Department of Education to temporarily house Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in school classrooms for better shelter and safety. We thank the DepEd Canlaon Division for the prompt approval and support. The LGU of Canlaon, through the LDRRMO, continues to work round the clock to monitor the situation and ensure everyone’s well-being.

This was made possible through the quick response of our City LDRRMO team and the generous support of our private sector partners who assisted in clearing and restoration efforts. ROAD STATUS UPDATE | As of 9:30 AM, July 18, 2025 Tungod sa epekto sa Bagyong Crising, pipila sa atong mga dalan sa Dakbayan sa Canlaon ang naapektuhan sa landslide ug pagbaha. Tokon-Tokon, Barangay Linothangan – Dili pa maagian tungod sa landslide. Padayon ang clearing operations. Angas I – Purok Kawayan, Aranguin – Dili maagian tungod sa pagbaha ug kusog nga tubig. Bao-Bao, Barangay Malaiba – Nahuman na og clearing ang natumba nga kahoy ug ang minor nga erosion. Maagian na ang dalan. Linothangan Bridge (duol sa slaughterhouse) – Luwas ang tulay sumala sa DPWH, bisan og nawala ang kahoy nga braces tungod sa kusog nga tubig.
